miss-america

One thing is clear tonight after the reaction to Miss New York being crowned Miss America, people are not ashamed to flaunt their racist views on Twitter. Nina Davuluri was crowned Miss America last night and people took twitter in droves calling her an “arab” and a “terrorist” among other things.

Seriously? There are really people that don’t know the difference between Indians and Arabs? Just skip the bullshit accusations and say what’s on your mind, “I hate you because you have darker skin than I do and I don’t understand that!”

Those were my favorite ones. All the people who were offended that she was crowned Miss America so close to 9/11. India, a country that had absolutely nothing to do with 9/11, you idiots. Wait, neither did Iraq but…oh never mind.

If you want to be outraged this morning just go to Twitter and search for Miss America tweets. It won’t take long until you’re knee deep in some good old-fashioned racist banter.

  2. People know the damn difference. Most of the tweets were a joke, and people took them serious!

    1. I seriously doubt that. If people knew the difference, then Sikhs would not have been attacked after 9/11. If they knew the difference, she would not have been referred to as Arab. You can defend that crap all you want, but this is nothing but a classic example of John Gabriel’s Internet F**kwad Theory.

    2. Not to mention every one of these people have either deleted their account or Twitter has done it for them. I don’t think that would have happened if they were just joking around.

  3. All of you must not have much to do. Do any of you have a job? Probably not. Any of you receive government support? Probably. Any of you have student loans? Thought so. You better start keeping up with your government rather than something like this. You will know soon enough when you start having to pay for our new healthcare system.

  4. I couldn’t believe how much racism there was this day… granted, a lot of em were high school kids who don’t know any better, and think social media is a joke; and that there are no consequences; but a lot weren’t, which is terrible, 😦
