Not only does Audible do audiobooks right, they have outstanding 24/7 customer service that’s some of the best I’ve ever seen. Yesterday I wrote a post about the new and improved Audible Android app. I contacted Audible to ask if they would like to offer slothed.com readers any sort of discount or incentive for joining.
I didn’t get a response in time to put it in the original post but I did just receive this email from them.
Thank you very much for your kind e-mail.

Audible has a huge library of books and this offer has no limitations so you can choose from any book in their entire catalogue.
I’ve been on a history kick lately so the last two books I have listened to are The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich: A History of Nazi Germany and The Civil War: A Narrative, Volume I, Fort Sumter to Perryville. Both books are great books by two fantastic authors, William L. Shirer and Shelby Foote respectively and, of course, they’re both narrated by my favorite narrator, Grover Gardner.
Talk about bang for your buck, Rise and Fall comes in seven different parts and includes over 57 hours of narration! It’s widely considered the most thorough and critically acclaimed account of Nazi Germany from its humble beginnings to the unimaginably horrific end. Shirer was an American reporter who was living and working in Germany and Austria at the time the Nazis came to power. Anyway, I digress.
Click here to sign up for your 30-day trial and two free audiobooks courtesy of Audible. If you do take advantage of the offer please take a moment to leave a comment and let us know what books you downloaded. I’m always interested in what other people are listening to.
